About the Vice President, Corporate Controller Position:

We are looking for a Vice President of Controller to own accounting, financial reporting, controls, tax, and treasury. Reporting to the CFO, the controller will be responsible for driving a culture of excellence and accuracy, developing processes and controls as the company scales, and building cross functional partnerships. The controller will lead a team of 15+ professionals and leverage external providers to support growth. The ideal candidate will have experience operating in high-growth, dynamic environments, a track record of developing high performing teams and excellent judgment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as the company’s accounting expert, collaborating with departments like Operations, Sales, IT, and HR on policy structuring and accounting implications.
  • Recruit and develop a team that sets high standards for business partnership operational excellence and high quality.
  • Improve the monthly consolidated close process, introducing innovative ideas and streamlining operations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive control framework to mitigate risks.
  • Lead working capital management and drive improvements in the cash conversion cycle.
  • Oversee tax and treasury operations and strategy.
  • Lead acquisition due diligence and establish best practices internally.

What You’ll Need: 

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in audit or accounting, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting and CPA certification.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
  • Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize and implement software tools for scalability.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with business partners.
  • Highly organized, independent, and self-motivated.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in SaaS or supply chain industries.
  • Background in a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite.
  • Knowledge of technical accounting concepts and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience in a dynamic public company or scaling a start-up.
  • Exposure to international expansion.
