Position Purpose 

The Virtual Legal Clerk will perform multiple administrative tasks to support theLegal and Operations teams with the virtual aspects of the case flow thatoccur daily. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth within the company. 

 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities 

  • Updating, processing, and uploading a high volume of incoming mail 

  • Ensuring timely delivery of documents to clients 

  • Maintaining accurate records within online legal software 

  • Notifying internal departments of case submission, case receipts, and other documents received from the government. 

  • Virtual clerical work, such as updating cover letters, preparing shipping labels, and sending requests to local and federal government agencies. 

  • Using software to merge, create, and upload documents to shared drives 

  • Supporting the in-office Legal Clerk team in preparing case submissions and signature packets daily before 9:00 AM EST. 

 

Essential Skills, Knowledge & Abilities 

  • Background in legal assistance or immigration law is a plus 

  • Ruthless attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Work independently and proactively 

  • Follow and adhere to standardized process guidelines 

  • Problem-solve independently or with the support of leadership 

  • Adapt to changes to procedures in a fast-paced environment 

  • Computer skills – Salesforce and/or Litify experience a plus 

  • Document Management – DropBox and/or Sharepoint 

  • Document Editing – Adobe Acrobat 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bilingual (Spanish English) C1 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software 

  • Associate’s degree or similar experience
