We are looking for a Sr Analyst to serve as a Workday Payroll + Time Tracking subject matter expert, who can take the lead in supporting the technical aspects of Workday Payroll.  In this role, the Sr Analyst will be a part of the People Technology team and responsible for providing expert technical support, while working closely with the Payroll team and other cross functional partners to ensure the efficient functioning of our Workday U.S. Payroll and Time Tracking modules.  

Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Workday Payroll functionalities, configurations, and best practices, coupled with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.

What You Get To Do Every Day
  • Develop relationships with functional areas of People and Payroll Teams to improve systems and processes that deliver measurable results for The RealReal
  • Actively identify opportunities to improve our processes through technology and in partnership with the Payroll team including design, configure, test, implement, maintain, communicate, and train the organization to effectively leverage our Workday suite
  • Use critical thinking and strategic decision making to turn business requirements into technical requirements and proposed Workday solutions while treating every challenge as an opportunity for improvement and efficiency
  • Configure and maintain Workday Payroll processes, including payroll calculations, tax configurations, deductions, and earnings codes
  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday Payroll + Time tracking enhancements and solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Create ad-hoc reports and integrations needed in support of on-going payroll processing
  • Act as an active member for the Workday community – staying ahead of Workday updates, fixes and resolutions and make recommendations for continuous improvement
What You Bring To The Role
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Payroll functionalities, including payroll processing, taxation, time tracking, and reporting
  • 3+ years experience of Payroll and Time Tracking configuring Workday business processes, conditional rules, and calculated fields in a retail environment supporting both high volume and corporate business areas
  • A commitment to quality and continuous improvement while demonstrating a high level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday Payroll + Time Tracking best practices
  • Proactive, self-directed and able to prioritize multiple concurrent requests and deliverables
  • Resourceful with proven problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to write business process flows, requirements documents, UAT test cases and training material
  • Demonstrated track record of building strong working relationships at all levels, across functions and geographic locations
  • A love for Workday and would be happy working within their ecosystem
  • Workday Payroll certification is highly desirable

The expected salary range for this role is $101,745 – $122,400. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
