About the role
We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in mobile application testing for Android and iOS to join our growing mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and education with an ability to work closely with our product managers and engineers to develop and execute test strategies for a variety of exciting new features.

Our Quality Engineers are well-versed in the various dimensions of the QA process, including manual, automated, accessibility, performance, and compatibility testing. With in-house automation testing training and multiple knowledge-sharing and upskilling initiatives, our QA experts help create the next generation of software testing professionals.
Responsibilities
Participate in the whole lifecycle of software development from planning to release
Review business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, test estimations, and test execution reports
Perform functionality, regression, integration, UI, smoke, exploratory, stress and performance testing
Manage all communications related to QA status on a daily basis and report potential risks during all stages of development lifecycle
Work closely with development and product teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process
Analyze test results and facilitate resolution of issues
Iterate on existing testing processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
7+ years of work experience in software quality assurance
3+ years focus on mobile testing
2+ years with automation
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Proficiency in writing test plans, creating test cases, test data, and managing/tracking defect logs
Extensive experience in testing web and mobile applications
Hands-on experience in test automation tools for mobile applications
Experience with CI/CD tools to ensure continuous testing
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work both independently and on a wide variety of teams
Passion for making bulletproof applications and improving education through technology
Self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive and collaborative
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of JIRA, Unix, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, source control, and mobile device development is a plus
Scripting or programming experience is a plus
