What we’re looking for
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, Producer, or Product Manager with at least five years of experience within a digital agency to join our team.
As a Senior Project Manager at iamota, you will work collaboratively with our team of strategists, designers, and developers and our clients to ensure large-scale Shopify Plus projects and resulting work is planned, executed and delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Project Manager at iamota, your responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning of all operational aspects for large-scale complex ecommerce website redesigns and platform migrations to Shopify Plus, as well as ongoing support and enhancements for select clients.
- Be a project manager for our most sophisticated clients and high-profile brands.
- Track complex requirements, across multiple work streams.
- Be comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholder groups (including senior executive stakeholders), and confidently communicating with and managing expectations.
- Manage and look for ways to improve day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including documentation, scope management, client communications and internal team support.
- Produce large-scale project estimates and statements of work by being responsible for leading the process and pulling contributions as required from other team members.
- Use your experience to leverage your “PM radar” in order to spot subtle areas of risk and/or scope creep, and make a proactive plan to get on top of them.
- Be comfortable leading “tough conversations” with team members and clients alike, be it on scope, performance or budget.
- Ensure all stakeholders have a clear view of activities, milestones, costs, and risks at all times.
- Obtain approvals at all appropriate stages of the project.
- Manage and track project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
- In addition to project builds, be the project manager for specific ongoing enhance and optimize clients post-launch, helping build, review and execute on a strategic roadmap and backlog of work to continually enhance the digital experience.
- Collaborate and communicate regularly with internal team leads on project resourcing, progress, and challenges.
- Work closely with other PMs to continuously contribute to improving our project management processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery.
- Stay on top of Shopify and e-commerce best practices to be able to add valuable insights and provide guidance and recommendations to clients and team members.

- Be well-equipped with knowledge across Shopify, business, UX and e-commerce best practices in order to be an influential voice with clients.
- Strong EQ that is well-tuned to other roles on the team (Other PMs, Strategy, Design, Development).
- Communicate effectively as needed to a variety of potential audiences: from the more senior to more junior; from and to a variety of team roles and clients.
- Be thorough, detail-oriented, and highly organized with people and projects so that you are prolific with your outputs.
- Ensure that all communication – written, verbal, presentations and more – is clear, concise and detailed enough.
Who we’re looking for
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- At least 5 years experience as a Project Manager, Product Manager or Producer in a digital agency environment.
- Experience executing medium-to-large scale website projects or digital products.
- Ecommerce platform experience (preferably Shopify/Shopify Plus), with a solid understanding of the associated technical considerations.
- Capable of running projects independently, from planning to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident running meetings and presenting to clients.
- Experience operating in an agile environment (in one way or another); standups, sprints, story pointing, you get it.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello, Jira), creating project plans and timelines and working within Google Suite.
- Self-motivated and ambitious individual with a desire to help us work smarter.
- Ability and desire to contribute to strategy discussions, bringing your unique perspectives to solve complex problems.
- A relevant degree, diploma or equivalent experience.

- PMP Certified.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- Understanding of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) fundamentals.
