About The Role

We are now seeking a Product Manager, Merchandising Systems to join our team. As a member of the Product team at Misfits Market, you will be responsible for building, maintaining and iterating on enterprise-grade tech to unlock capabilities to support the business’ exponential growth. 

In this collaborative role, you’ll work closely with the Merchandising and Site-merchandising department leads, our in-house Engineering and Data teams and external partners to develop, define, and grow cutting edge technologies.

Objectives 
  • Define and maintain strategic technology roadmap for our Merch and Merch-adjacent product areas, comprised of the smartest big and small investments we can make
  • Make our Merch team more awesome! Build products and systems that improve their day-to-day lives and help us divert more food from waste
  • Enable business teams to be more autonomous in day-to-day operations by learning today’s process and empathizing with our users
 Responsibilities 
  • Determine the overall product strategy for Merch focus areas (e.g. Catalog Management, Pricing Systems, Vendor Management, Purchase Order Management, Inventory Management System, ERP, etc.)
  • Scope new internal features and products, working cross-functionally to gather requirements, write business cases, track progress, and deliver value
  • Partner with leads in the Merchandising and Strategy teams; serve as catalyst for substantive cross-functional debates on business priorities
  • Set and pursue shared, measurable goals with business stakeholders on a quarterly, half, and annual basis
  • Drive large cross-company projects that may be outside of day-to-day domain
  • You are able to create (lo-fi) wireframes and write supporting requirements to facilitate communicating requirements, with developers
  • Project manage cross functional initiatives through successful technical implementation
  • End to end ownership over a product roadmap that aligns with Misfits Market’s company goals
  • Ensure that stakeholders stay informed about relevant progress and decisions regarding each product
  • Run demos and meetings with stakeholders and functionality consumers
  • Write, edit, and maintain product documentation
Skills & Qualifications
  • Backed by 5+ years of experience developing, defining, and growing multiple business systems (1st and 3rd party) that impact many different parts of an organization
  • Equipped with a technical mindset, empathy for users, product & systems thinking, and an eye for good design—all of which help your understanding of how to create and deliver exceptional products
  • A naturally curious person who dives deep into any available information to better understand the task at hand
  • Strong influencer who is able to gain buy in, and move initiatives forward, at various levels within the company and externally
  • A well-rounded communicator who can write clear expository prose on complex topics and facilitate compelling presentations
  • Strong analytical reasoning skills and experience analyzing scenarios quantitatively
  • Able to measure the business impact of back-end systems you’ve product-managed
  • Ready to make tough decisions when needed and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Comfortable being both a team player and a leader while contributing on a variety of projects
  • Highly autonomous and driven by the desire to help others
  • Familiar with Agile, scrum, and other project management methodologies

Details of Position and Benefits

  • Salary range $120k-140k
