Job purpose
To design, build, and maintain the underlying infrastructure and software systems for Wealth Wizards to host automated online financial advice. This role focuses on creating robust, scalable, and efficient platforms that enable developers to deploy, manage, and monitor their applications easily.
Key Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing…
- Executing operational work within an Agile team.
- Providing guidance on best-practice to ensure that the platform meets security and compliance requirements by implementing security controls, with best practices without compromising agility and innovation.
- Shared ownership of team status board.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, testing, and deployment processes to aid deployment of software releases to customer environments.
- Code/peer review of colleagues’ work.
- Documenting the platform architecture, configurations, and processes, and sharing knowledge with other team members to facilitate collaboration and troubleshooting.
- Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimise resource usage.
- Adhere to all Information Security policies and procedures
About You
Your skills
When it comes to skills and experience, the ideal candidate would have:
- Demonstrate Wealth Wizards core values (PEARH).
- Experience in key technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Linux, Containers, Kubernetes and IaaS.
- Ability to automate repetitive tasks.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation/time management skills highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of AWS and experience in deploying and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
- Genuine interest and enthusiasm for technology, with a desire to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field.
Your experience
- Proven experience of Service Delivery and Service Monitoring within a commercial environment.
- Considerable experience in participating in agile teams.
- Practical experience with Docker for containerisation and Kubernetes for container orchestration, including deploying and scaling containerised applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS for deploying and managing infrastructure and services.
- Previous exposure to setting up monitoring and logging solutions, such as Prometheus and Grafana to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Practical knowledge of implementing security best practices.
- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automating software delivery.
- Worked independently on a continuous improvement related project.
