The Opportunity:

As the People Business Partner, you will be responsible for solving complex organizational challenges through people-related solutions and driving organizational effectiveness. The People Business Partner will create talent strategies and lead all People initiatives and activities within your assigned client groups. You will develop and maintain effective business partnerships and serve as a consultant in all people-related areas. You will actively partner with clients at all levels of the organization, and must be able to work autonomously, adapting to change while making decisions quickly in a fast-paced ambiguous environment. Whether coaching our leaders on how to grow their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues, or managing programs that help develop our crew members, you are exceptionally focused on championing a positive work culture, driving engagement, and focusing on employee experience.

How you will contribute to TrueCar’s success:

  • Develops and drives the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with business priorities and goals to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of talent for multiple functions across the organization, acting as an integral part of people strategy at TrueCar.
  • Establishes and maintains an intimate understanding of the organization and the business, in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and partners, at all levels of the organization.
  • Coach and advise on a variety of components impacting employee experience and engagement.
  • Educates business leaders on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, career development, succession planning, compensation, and performance management to promote engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Assesses organizational performance systemically, defining talent gaps and proposing solutions that support business objectives.
  • Delivers and supports people initiatives, programs, processes, policies, and service delivery based on the business environment and functional strategy for assigned client groups.
  • Manages and serves as an initial point of contact on employee relations, investigations, and leave of absence within the talent management scope of HR.
  • Works closely with various People support functions, such as People Operations, Talent Acquisition and Legal to tailor solutions to meet the needs of business clients.
  • Advises on organizational design and management issues, as well as challenging and/or influencing decision-making processes to ensure mitigation of risk and business achievement.
  • Partners closely with the Talent Acquisition team for their client groups, creating a unified talent strategy that meets business hiring and headcount planning goals.
  • Analyze people data and trends to design and execute strategies for how we staff, onboard, develop, retain, and organize work employee development opportunities, partnering with People colleagues from DEI, Talent Acquisition, People Systems and Analytics, Compensation, Legal and Talent.

 Your Expertise:

  • Proven experience in an HR function with progressive responsibility including experience across multiple client groups in a dynamic environment and partnering with senior leadership.
  • Experience supporting an organization through times of significant change and transformation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience coaching and advising business leaders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to deliver short-term solutions while solving long-term concerns by addressing immediate challenges and underlying causes.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive programs independently and collaboratively.
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable with the ability to cultivate an environment of trust, inclusion, and belonging. 
  • Travel as necessary, less than 5%

Base salary range: $96,000 – $160,000
