The Financial Associate (FA) contributes to the Scaling Foundations (ScalFo) program by assembling, managing, and structuring financial data and reports for the lawyers involved. The FA is instrumental in the onboarding process, data reconciliation, and ensuring that all financial and CRM-related materials are precise and prepared for analysis. This position reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer.
- Create and manage dedicated folders for each lawyer.
- Update program sheets and templates.
- Access the lawyer’s QuickBooks Online (QBO) as a user and set up relevant reports (e.g., Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet).
- Prepare and update financial forecasts using LiveFlow and other tools.
- Import data from onboarding surveys into forecasting tools.
- Reconcile financial data, including Profit and Loss, COGS, and expenses.
- Create pivot tables and verify numbers in the Roadmap.
- Manage CRM data and prepare reports based on the system used (e.g., Lawmatics, Clio).
- Identify and correct missing data fields in CRM reports.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings between lawyers, the CFO, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with bookkeepers to implement recommendations and update financial workflows.
- Communicate with lawyers or staff to ensure CRM and financial data are complete.
- Update forecasts and financial reports based on feedback.
- Provide recommendations for Chart of Accounts (COA) updates and document changes.
- Refine CRM data to improve analysis and reporting.
- Support the CFO in addressing data challenges and process flows for each law firm.
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience in the same or similar role
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial tools such as QuickBooks Online, LiveFlow, and spreadsheet applications (Google Sheets).
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Lawmatics, Clio) and data management.
- Effective communicator capable of liaising with lawyers, CFOs, and bookkeepers.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify gaps in data and processes.
