We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join a newly formed Central Analytics team within the finance organization. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Analytics, you will be responsible for developing & maintaining data models to support reporting & analysis. Focusing first on the go-to-market function, your work will help drive performance management & key decisions around a complex implementation process. As part of a newly formed team, this role will be critical to establishing baselines for robust data models to answer a wide range of questions to drive growth at Olo.
You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo’s headquarters in NYC.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and implement scalable data models in DBT to support reporting and analytics needs
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using SQL and DBT for use by central analytics team
- Collaborate with the central analytics team alongside the Go to Market team to understand data requirements to deliver actionable insight
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, models, and workflows.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports, particularly on Tableau Server
- Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data assets.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve our analytics capabilities.
What We’ll Expect From You
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in a data engineering or analytics role
- Strong Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and transformation. Experience with querying Salesforce data a plus
- Experience with DBT for transforming data within data warehouses
- Familiarity with Python and Snowflake a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
