As a Senior Director on the Product Management team, we will provide you with challenging work, strong support, and empowerment. Flipp’s is committed to growing by creating value for retailers, CPGs, shoppers, publishers, and developers. You will be given autonomy and responsibility to act like an owner. You will help retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies across North America turn their digital merchandising content into shopper-intent driven experiences that inspire and influence millions of shoppers each week.

Reporting into Flipp’s Executive Product Leader, you will be responsible for leading Flipp’s Data, Content, and Platform Domains. This is a leadership role that requires deep product management experience, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to work with cross-functional peers and the executive team.

What you’ll get the opportunity to do:
  • Manage a team of 2-5 Product Directors and Managers and an organization of up to 80 team members including product, analytics, product marketing, and operations team members. 
  • To ensure strong product lifecycle management, you will champion and implement modern product management techniques in Data, Content, and Platform oriented teams.
  • Create and deliver the product vision & strategy in a way that enables Flipp’s total company vision & strategy.
  • Define and align business, product, and outcomes and convert those into OKRs and outcome-based strategic roadmaps.
  • Develop logical and effective organizational designs for various types of product teams.
  • Develop exceptional leaders. You will mentor, motivate, empower and guide product team members to reach their full potential both professionally and personally.
  • Act as a hands-on and passionate team builder and people builder to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Bring a focused and empathetic approach to leadership and a bold and action-biased attitude toward product development. Inspire and implement a culture of collaboration, transparency, high performance, and inclusion.
  • Influence and build consensus across the organization through effective communication and passion.
What you’ll bring to the team:

Professional qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of product leadership experience building and growing a material line of business (ideally >$20M).
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience including recruiting and managing a team of product managers and directors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex businesses or product lines to growth through innovation and creativity.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and delivering multi-year visions, strategies and product plans. Experience managing executive relationships and aligning C-suite leaders to your vision.
  • Exceptional knowledge, skills and experiences related to software product management including experience with multiple frameworks and approaches (worked on both B2B and B2C products is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and successful experience in planning out product releases: you understand the Agile methodology and thrive in Agile environments where you work closely with design and engineering teams.
  • Excellent capability of translating customer and business needs into technical requirements and sharing product vision with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Proven track record of hiring, building and growing a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • High emotional intelligence with a proven ability to create lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders and a strong ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
