Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to help oversee and manage the operational aspects of several large and complex program-related activities, diverse projects, and processes spanning business units and partners. The Technical Project Manager will review the status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports. You will also be responsible for ensuring that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Additionally, you may be involved in technical problem-solving, proposing creative solutions, and making critical decisions during the project lifecycle.

This role is remote if the selected candidate is based outside of the New York City Metropolitan area; it is hybrid to New York. This position will be on our Operations team, reporting to our General Manager of Federal Programs. The salary range for this role is $135,000-170,000.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing technical projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Work with both internal teams and external stakeholders on delivery of complex payments projects.
  • Review the status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
  • Participate in technical problem-solving, propose creative solutions, and make critical decisions during the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • 25-30% travel will be required for any onsite or offsite meetings.

 

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of project management experience, preferably in a technical field.
  • Proven experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to propose creative solutions.  
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in payments industry preferred.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies. 
  • Familiarity with version control systems and full-stack development.
  • Experience in managing projects in cloud computing platforms.
