About Us

InStride Health’s mission is to deliver specialty anxiety and OCD care that works for every kid, teen, young adult, and family who needs it. Through this mission, we are expanding access to insurance-based care, increasing engagement in treatment, and improving treatment outcomes. We are doing this by combining research-backed clinical care and innovative technology to eliminate the major problems with care today: difficulty finding providers, months of waiting to be seen, arduous onboarding processes, and inconsistent use of evidence-based therapies and outcomes tracking. Our vision is to become the nation’s most trusted provider of pediatric anxiety and OCD care.

Team InStride Health: Our Core Values

  • Give Heart: We lead with heart, treating patients and their families the way we want our loved ones to be treated.
  • Work Smart: We find smarter ways to solve hard problems and fix the broken mental health system by leveraging technology, diversity of thought, and innovation.
  • Have Humility: We leave our egos at the door, empowering our team to collaborate, celebrate diversity, and adopt a growth mindset.
  • Embrace Community: We all belong. We are in this together, and we never worry alone. We believe in each other and recognize that every voice matters.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Data Integrations to help lead our data integration efforts, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality data pipelines, while shaping our data integrations strategy and roadmap. This role will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand data needs, align on priorities, and maintain strong, reliable data flows. The Director of Data Integrations will lead and mentor a team of data engineers, and work to continuously integrate new data sources, ensuring that the team’s efforts drive impactful and business-aligned data solutions. In addition to strategic leadership, the Director will also get their hands dirty, contributing directly to the data engineering codebase and driving critical projects forward.

This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of data pipelines and architecture that ensure consistent, high-quality, and timely data availability across the organization.
  • Lead the development and enforcement of data quality standards, data governance, and monitoring practices.
  • Act as the primary liaison between data engineering and other departments, including Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Operations, to ensure data needs are met.
  • Gather requirements, prioritize requests, and provide status updates on key projects to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for data integrations in alignment with business goals.
  • Assess current capabilities, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the integration strategy scales with the company’s growth and evolving data needs.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Roll up your sleeves and contribute to the data engineering codebase, especially on high-impact projects. Collaborate with team members to solve complex technical challenges and ensure best practices are followed in coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Identify and evaluate new data sources that can provide additional value to the business. Develop and oversee the integration of these sources into our data ecosystem, ensuring proper alignment with business objectives and technical infrastructure.

What You Need to Succeed in the Role

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data integration roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience with modern data integration tools, ETL/ELT frameworks, and cloud data platforms (experience with AWS, Redshift, Matillion are a plus).
  • Experience working with a wide variety of data sources (EHRs, CRMs data experience are a plus)
  • 3-5 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Sigma or Looker
  • Deep understanding of data pipeline architectures, data modeling, and ETL best practices.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python and familiarity with programming languages such as R.
  • Experience with data quality management and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and to drive alignment on data initiatives.

Why Join Our Team

  • Generous benefits package (401k with match, Flexible PTO, paid holidays, 4 week paid sabbatical, 12 week paid parental leave, health benefits starting on your first day, and more)
  • Opportunity to join a mission-driven company that is changing the landscape of pediatric mental health treatment
  • Ability to help hundreds of children and families access desperately-needed evidence-based care
  • Opportunity to work with talented and experienced team members who have devoted their lives to solving this problem
  • Fully virtual: work from the comfort of your home with periodic in-person retreats
