Our Australia-based People & Culture Business Partner is about to start maternity leave! This role will be offered as a work from home, 7 month contract (starting in June 2024, until January 2025), supporting an international portfolio. We are open to both full-time and part-time (4 days) applicants who are based in Australia (preferably anywhere in WA, but we’re open to other locations in Australia too provided you’re ok with a flexible start time!).

Full-time salary: $100,000 p.a. (plus super)

What your new job can look like…

Reporting to our Head of People & Culture (who is based in Perth), this role is part of our global team that focuses on driving people & culture initiatives and providing high quality generalist HR support across our growing company.

With the pace of Moodle, no two days will ever be the same!  But most days will involve a mix of:

  • Coaching, guiding and supporting managers within a portfolio of teams
  • Working with the P&C team to drive culture and engagement initiatives that help us continue our journey to becoming a really great place to work
  • Leading recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding activities
  • Supporting rem & ben activities, including our annual remuneration review process
  • Driving learning and development initiatives, including course creation on Moodle Workplace 
  • A little bit of administration and event support work including supporting the management of our co-working space relationship and our local social events (mainly in Perth).

Requirements

We’d love to meet you…

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Passion for, and experience in delivering outstanding HR generalist support and coaching services, ideally within a technology or learning company
  • Experience driving and supporting change initiatives, and building a strong, positive workplace culture
  • Ability to self-motivate and organise your own workload 
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment laws, plus experience working in a remote environment (bonus if you’ve worked as part of a globally diverse team)
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to quickly and effectively build strong relationships, trust and credibility with stakeholders
  • Solid skills working with systems including HR management and recruitment systems, employee engagement and performance management tools, payroll systems and the Google suite.
